qeshm island
Qeshm is an arrow-shaped Iranian island in the Strait of Hormuz, separated from the mainland by the Clarence Strait/Khuran in the Persian Gulf and the largest in the Persian Gulf.
Stars Valley
Stars Valley on Qeshm with a historical background of about two million years have been created as a result of soil, stone and sand erosion caused by the wind, rain and shower. The valley is a rare natural masterpiece on the beautiful island of Qeshm. The northern side of Qeshm Island is close to Berke-ye Khalaf Village have shown its strange geological feature. Residents of the area believe that a start fell off the sky and created strange shapes out of soil, stones and sand.
Shour Valley
This canyon is located in the Salakh anticline, Qeshm Island. The locals call it Makina Canyon or Howbad (Water Therapy). Shour Valley has been named due to many efforts by Mr.Bizhan Dareh Shouri for the region. As it is clear, the suffix of his surname is “Shouri,” which means “Salinity” taken from the word “Salt”.

Mangrove forests
Mangrove forests are unique wetland ecosystems established directly in the intertidal zone. Mangrove forests of southern Iran mainly consist of the Avicenna marina, a species named after the great Iranian scientist Avicenna (or Abu-Ali Sina). The Hara forest constitutes the most western limits of the mangrove forests of Southeast Asia.
